Understand the point mate but did you see the number of times we counter attacked? The ball came out to the left and Bellamy, Adebayor or Robi were picking up the ball? And Superman was bombing into the box unopposed at the back post? And every time the chance was lost because they all all had to cut inside, by which time Ireland's runs had been eventuslly tracked? I guarantee with Petrov's pace and crossing ability, and left peg, Ireland's efforts would have been rewarded a lot more.
I appreciate the point you're making, but don't ignore the qualities that Petrov brings to the team, qualities that no-one else at City possesses.
