Ozil and Fabregas would be nice, in an ideal world. With NDJ just sitting in front of the defence behind them.

If we dont get fourth this season, none of these players would be intrested in coming. Most of these players want champions league football.

And even then, it still won't be easy to attract the absolute top players who already have CL football every year anyway. But yes, 4th is essential to get players the next step up in calibre.
For me the only one of our midfielders who is good enough is De Jong, and that's only when we play a formation which requires his type of player.
We need someone to play alongside De Jong who can quickly spread the ball wide or forward, like Scholes does at United, or Alonso used to do at Liverpool.
We then need someone to play slightly further forward who will drive into the box when we attack, but drop back alongside the other 2 when we don't have possession. This player needs to be someone who can score goals, 15+ a season but can also create them.
