Over positive should of just carried on batting normally because that’s what India will do till at least they are on 400+.

Root is a top class batsman but I am not convinced he is captaincy material.

The rest of the batsmen are woefully sub-standard including Cook who is past his best, most of them are just one-day players.

What other test cricket side would play two wicket-keepers, it doesn't make sense Butler should not be playing.

Our two main strike bowlers are not getting any younger and whenever we find a promising new one they seem to suddenly get injury prone.

We are also abysmal against spin and just prod forward with our pads whilst hiding the bat somewhere behind them, India missed a trick by not playing at least two spin bowlers.

I suspect the Indians will top the 400 when they bat.
