It was enthralling, I agree. Unfortunately, people now want slogfests consisting of sixes from the batsmen and bowlers bowling as wide as legally possible, with dot balls the holy grail. They don't want patient batsmen with good techniques and bowlers trying to take wickets.
I was brought up to believe bowlers were supposed to attack.
Two-innings cricket is for those who love the game, and T20 is for those who don't.
