Fairly hard to say without seeing all the evidence. The people who have seen all the evidence, who are people like me and you, weren't sure he wasn't acting in self-defence.

I stand by the comment I made earlier. if this was you or I, we'd now have a suspended sentence and a community service order, at best.

Exactly. One of the guys was backing away from Stokes with his hands up, Alex Hales was shouting at Stokes to stop, but he went at him anyway and sparked him out.
There was absolutely no self defence in the whole incident.
