I fancy England from here. I think a fresh Archer and Anderson with a new ball against India’s lower order is good for a couple of wickets at least, with India all out by lunch for 300/325. Have a blast for a session and a half while the bowlers have a rest and then ask India to make 400 in 4 sessions, on a wearing pitch.

Unless the pitch deteriorates even more this is going to be a draw.

yep india should bat and avoid the follow on and get the draw. both teams will shake hands early on the 5th day
england had them 73/4 and then they attacked Leach and maybe root should have not let him bowl 17 overs

but if india slip up tomorrow morning and don't make the follow on ? then england could bat again set a target and bat quick runs and leave them the last hour to bat and chase over 400

Leach being smashed I had no problem with it is Leach not blowing well enough on a pitch that’s doing something.

New Zealand are set to play the final of the World Test Championship at Lord's after Australia postponed their Test tour of South Africa on Tuesday.

"For England to qualify and join New Zealand, they will have to win the series against India by 3-1, 3-0 or 4-0 margin."

i think even if eng are in a position to enforce the follow on, they wouldn't. If eng gets a lead of 250 odd they should bat again and try to score at 4 or 4.5 rpo. Set a target of 450/475 and put india into bat before close of play

yep it can work both ways
india miss the follow on or they bat and get past it. both ways england have to bat next and good 200 runs lead and we smash quick runs and get 350/400 and try and win the test

If follow on is enforced and ind manages to set a target of 120 to 150, it could turn into a disaster for eng as facing ashwin and Co on day 5 pitch would be extremely difficult
