Finally some positives to take.

• Crawley looks the player we all thought he was after that superb double century v Pakistan.
• Bairstow and stokes showing unbelievable courage and both batted extremely well
• Good character from the whole team grinding out a draw
• Leach bowled pretty well and needs to be backed now

Will be interesting to see how burns does assuming he comes in for hameed. If stokes cant play I’d go with lawrence and excited to see billings keep wicket.

Being reported on the Beeb as “feeling like a win”.
Great to see some grit and cussedness at last, but er… no… it does not feel like a win. It feels like a draw. And avoiding a whitewash. We must be thankful for small mercies, I suppose.
