This windies version of the Duke ball is good for 40 overs or so after that it's dead, one bowler who could probably extended its use is sat at home reading the Burnley gazette.

The reporting of the women's cricket is quite annoying.
Yes, England got off to a terrible start leaving them needing to win the last 4, but those 4 aren't against great teams and they should be beating them all every time. Yet it's reported as a brilliant comeback - it isn't that brilliant, they're beating lesser teams, and it was never a one in a million shot as the reporting would imply. In fact, they squeaked past NZ which was incredibly close and had 2 easy wins.

More interesting is that India need to beat SA to displace WI.

First time since 1885 that nos 10 & 11 have top scored in a test match!
Were any Blue Mooners around the last time this happened?

not really a joke because our bowlers are not good enough ? we don't have pace and bounce to scare them
the problem starts at the batting when it gets tough. our batting skills are pretty poor for a so called international team. the batsmans foot movements are shocking. also we dangle the bat for to much and its like we not know where the stump's are

You could have the best bowlers in the world on those wickets and they'd have struggled to bowl the windies twice. Our batting is generally awful yet we got runs in the first two tests which shows how poor the wickets are! Even Jimmy and Broad would have struggled.

We've basically been wasting time until this third test where they've set up a pitch that is too far the other way really. There were some absolute snorters which the England batsmen could do nothing about. Crawley and Stokes played awful shots but the deliveries to Lees, Root, Foakes, Bairstow were right on the money and there wasn't a lot any of them could have done. Lees maybe could have been more proactive in defence. The ball to Foakes was a beauty. I didn't see much dangling of the bat though. Both Root and Bairstow had pretty solid defence but the ball just moved away and took the edge. It happens.

Once the ball had softened things were better for the batsmen. We just needed a bit of luck to maybe get through that tough spell only 4-5 down rather than 8! Great recovery. Still a woeful score but until the Windies bat we don't know where we are. Mahmood, Overton and Woakes is a good attack if there's seam movement. Woakes will get a lot out of this pitch if it behaves in a similar way with the new ball.
