Vilas started hitting out 18 off the 5 balls he faced in one over, scoring quick now the key.

Get to 500+ and think about giving them some overs just before tea maybe.
 
Definitely a week for the sides batting first in the top division. All have passed 400, Northamptonshire nearing 500, and 6 wickets lost is the highest. What is more, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, and Yorkshire all won their respective tosses and all elected to field! Top captaincy.

I said it earlier in this thread that Lancs don’t score quickly enough to win the league this season.

Vilas and Salt aside, they’re 2-3 rpo batters and we don’t have the bowling attack to keep taking 20 wickets quickly.
 
Do you think that the ECB have told counties to create pitches that are hugely batsman friendly to find some batters for the tests this summer?

Seems there are big scores everywhere so far this season.

Keaton Jennings scored the highest number 2 batsman score for Lancashire ever.

Not sure it’s a stat he‘ll point to much!
