I think NZ are through any way with England playing Sri Lanka unless it's a washout, also Ireland beat NZ run rate would come into play

No NZ still have to win. They're top on net run rate ahead of England and Australia but all three are on 5pts with one game left. The Aussies need a huge win over Afghanistan because of the thrashing they got by NZ. Our net run rate is decent and NZ should be fine with any win over Ireland as their NRR is miles ahead at the moment.

We'll know where we need to be in net run rate terms which helps but the toss will be important. England would probably be best batting second (although we've been poor doing so against Afghanistan and Ireland). But we'd know when we needed to knock the runs off by in order to go through on net run rate then. All hypothetical until NZ and Australia win mind!

Home team will cook up a result vs Afghanistan, so the net run rate will be in their favour ? Bat first, score over 200 and then bowl them out for next to nothing

The batting deck at Adelaide will be flatter than a witches tit. It'll assist with batting and neutralise the Afghan spin bowlers.

Australia will be going all out to annihilate Afghanistan.

I just turned it in as they came back from the rain delay. Is it too wet to play fairly?

100%

TMS have just pointed out they've never seen covers come off and supermops etc. stop before the rain has finished.

Linton Das on 60no slipped over twice in 2 balls trying to run between wickets, second one got him run out.

If they'd won, India would be almost certainly out...

I didn’t really see the discussion about it. Wouldn’t Das have slipped on the dry wicket?

It does seem harder to time the ball now too though.

It‘s another of those situations where fans can decide bias from officials without 100% proof though.

The tournament is being destroyed by the weather anyway.

Gotta keep India in no matter what.
Disgraceful to come back so quickly. The problem for the ICC was Bangladesh were in front on DLS .Having said that in the short format surely we dont have to lose overs,Think people would rather see a full game.

I’d put it down to luck rather than bias but it didn’t do Bangladesh any favours

Bangladesh came back into the game as soon as it dried out a bit.

India won because they came on 20 minutes early when the conditions weren't fit for play.
