Not a bad result, that. Particularly given the hastily assembled team. Didn’t see any of the game, but were Pakistan that woeful, or England that good?
Getting Imam and Babar out in the first over made Pakistan play catch up immediately. Then being 4 down in the first 15 overs pretty much killed the match as a contest. Not a bad result, that. Yeah, just saw it on the highlights. Pretty special. That Deol catch. Shit!
A thing for the ages.

& in case anyone missed it:
I think this could already be a competitive total. Pakistan bowled dreadfully for 15 overs. The ball is hugely on top of bat now.Losing wickets a bit too regularly here. 160/6 after 27 overs. Good scoring rate, but that wicket tally could do with being halved.

*edit* Make that 7. 118/2 to 160/7
They always used to play an England ‘A‘ team in the warm ups to test tours back in the day, but shorter tours are now needed to allow for more tests.Watching these England vs Pakistan games and how well the 'B' team are doing makes you wonder if the England Lions team should be a permanent fixture for any team that tours England.
Would be a good way to see the up and coming talent plus the best county cricket has to offer (so would work as an advert for the county game as well) and how well they stack up against top international opposition.
I'd like to see them play throughout the country as well in all the grounds that don't get a look in with the main England team. I think they'd become a very popular team to watch outside the few lucky places that get to see the main team on a regular basis.
