New Zealand have great bowlers who will cause us problem unless when we play them we bowl first and get them out for under 120
The NZ attack is good and I think better than the sum of its parts. But England, have such an array of shots, a flexible order if they need, someone like Malan to dig in if needed and bat very deep. If anyone stops England scoring 160 they will have done very well

Our middle order hasn’t been tested yet.

Morgan can’t buy a run and Livingstone hasn’t done much in the warm up games.

Buttler with another incredible knock.

Everyone else poor, bar Morgan.

So...2 of the 4 batsman played very well?

To be honest Roy and Malan were fine, they got over a run a ball and you can't expect them to have big knocks every match. The thing you don't want is them hanging around eating up balls without scoring and then getting out.

Without Buttler, we would be struggling. Can't understand the obsession with Malan and Roy. Great bowling attack, consistent fielding, need to use the pitch. Come on Woakes, Jordan, Ali, Livinstone and Rashid, don't give them an inch

Roy's hit 103 off 74 so far in the world cup. He's a great person to have opposite Butler because he'll go at a run a ball from the beginning and not let any pressure build up.

Malan is a bit hit and miss, but when he hits he wins you the game and when he misses he still goes at a run a ball so he's not killing time.

Agreed. The beauty of England's T20 batting line up is there's so much variation in how each batsman plays, Malan is a great anchor of an innings, and when he gets going he can be as destructive as any of them
