Another one sided game, just going through the motions. There needs to be less international cricket.
 
Roy absolutely abysmal again and putting pressure on everyone else to make up for his slow pish at the top of the order. They all then crumble.
 
Bairstow the latest to pull out of the Hundred due to workload (tests vs SA in two weeks).
With Stokes also withdrawing, maybe this is the watershed year on playing too much. I just don't trust the ECB to do anything sane, but how much was due to the delayed India test which they then tacked some 1 day stuff on.

Welsh Fire might be a bit irritated to find out just before it starts - I wonder who they'll find at short notice to fill in as one of their top players.

Happened last year, they just take a another county player from One Day Cup when one gets injured etc, like when Vilas was called in for FDP when he took a knock on the head. The counties are fucked all over.

Meh. I'll take a look when there's nothing else on. It's a weird format, 5 ball "overs". The fifty over format is THE one day game, in my opinion. Just watching it now, and they had some drone footage of the ground at Southampton. Looks very impressive. I'm assuming they've had some limited over internationals down there?

Yes the Ageas Bowl has staged some tests, one dayers and T20s

During 2020 it held 3 due to the pandemic because they had a hotel (like Old Trafford has)

We played a tour game down there years ago and it was raining in the morning so we went on the piss, only for the game to start at 2.30pm. We got tonked by United services who we had beaten the previous year by 9 wickets so they put as strong a side out as possible. The groundsman said as we were leaving that we were the biggest shower of shit to grace the square. Saying that it was the old county ground not this new one.
