That is the method and the right way to play bazball, england doesn't understand the method or how to plan and put it in place when needed, 65 for 1 at lunch with 3 and a half days left in the test, you don't need to use bazball

McCulum couldn’t say they need to watch the first few overs before smashing it! It’s the players we have seen stokes smith leave balls not score quickly! So bottom line it’s the players who have to look at themselves! Brook wafting at a wide ball first over he faced got out! Root wafting at a wide ball early in his innings to! Crawley yep it was an unbelievable catch by starc but come on it’s the first over we all know starc record in his first over plays an over aggressive shot!

For all those that criticise England's approach the attacking mentality has seen us improve drastically from the days of Root's captaincy where we scored less runs in more overs before we were all out.

There's a balance undoubtedly and what is so frustrating is that we never seem to learn. The next batsman comes in with the same mentality and does the same thing. Hugely frustrating.

With Cummins and Hazelwood to come back and Lyon coming into play we are well and truly fucked unless we bat with more balance. We haven't managed to produce a world class spinner and we haven't managed to find a decent opener to partner Duckett. I don't mind one or two having a waft but we went from a position of strength at lunch to a calamity. The mindset should have been to keep them in the field as long as possible and bat them out of the game. Patiently not quickly.

I enjoy watching us play cricket but it's hugely frustrating that we don't seem to be learning how to convert these positions into wins. We made the same mistakes today as we did in the last ashes in England.

That was absolutely fucking embarrassing. Stokes and the rest just go away with your shitball. For a test to be done in 2 days is utterly beyond a joke but then again most tests seem to last 3 days max these days.its not effin baseball ffs. England's prima donnas are just like their football equivalent, full of bravado and bullshit but no end product.

Oh yeah if we wasn’t attacking we’d still get out but for a lot less runs! What we want to see is at least have look for an over or two and try to leave a few balls

Live by the sword, die by the sword. Bazball is a exciting, high risk brand of cricket but when it goes wrong, it goes horribly wrong. Root bowling at the death on day 2 is the cricket equivalent of waving the white flag.
England's Test record Down Under is simply embarrassing.
Spot on

It wasn’t all down to Bazball. The writing was on the wall in NZ where the batting was poor. Root could hardly buy a run and his mare has continued. Failure to have a proper warm up match or two in Aus was a bad mistake.

Brook's job ? oh just smash first ball awell

Brook would be ideal for that role when needed, but England's style of bazball is all-out attack from everybody and doesn't make sense. There has to be a plan or method to use it from the first ball in your innings

Playing bazball only makes sense when you need to get back into the game; it must be 1 or 2 players only and controlled to the point of getting yourself in and having a look first

Value your wicket
Get the bowlers to OCCASIONALLY bowl at the stumps
Remember it's a TEST match, the clue is in the name.

Crawley to get ONE score over 50, which will cement his place for next summer.
Next summer he'll get ONE century, which will cement his place for next winter. Rinse and repeat for the next few years
He's a talentless wanker, how the fuck he gets picked is beyond me. Opening bowlers must lick their lips when they see him taking guard.

Your are ignoring all the times we have been 80/0 after 15 overs. Were we ever regularly winning away Test series? Because I can't remember that happening in the past 10 years.

So why bring in Bazball and has it worked vs the better teams
Bazball should be with a method and a plan of getting back into the game, just like the Aussies today with Head
They worked out a plan to use one of their best players to attack the england bowlers and put them under pressure

England has used bazball at home against the minor teams and worked very well and got praises, but does that mean it works all the time? No. Better teams have better players and coaches working hard on the systems,
Also, you have to play to the conditions and the wickets on the day. if it's nipping back or offers bounce. Put it away, we are talking on the 2nd morning with 2 sessions left in the day and 3 other days left in the game and have a lead of 105 at lunch. No need to swing from the hips at everything

Even in the first innings, 160/6 and Smith is smashing it around. All the bowlers come in and are looking to hit every ball for 6. Surely you play for the batter that’s in?

Crazy thinking ? At lunch, england was 65 for 1 with a lead of 105. What was the need to score quick runs and swing from the hips, just play the conditions and get behind the ball and make the Aussies panic, 60 overs left in the day and score around 4 a over gives you 350 and you never know

From being hot favourites to losing in 2 hours, that's right, BAZBALL

Method and planning
The Conditions and the wicket must come into play ? if it's nipping around and bouncing and you're facing one of the best teams in their own garden, then Bazball is not the answer

Well Head played Bazball after he had settled in after 2 overs! Now everyone in the England camp have that to reinforce there beliefs! One person with no form comes in smashers it everywhere wins the game!

One of the best batsmen in the world finds form on his home wickets (shocker)
Look who ever called the play after lunch when england was 65 for 1 and leading by 105 got it badly wrong

65 for 1 playing well, Then Lunch ? What the fuck did we eat
