Awful by England. Last 5 wickets gone for 105 runs.
Aussies, lost a world class bowler, their quicks getting knocked about & creating no chances. In the last throw of the dice, they resort to banging it in short in the hope that England go after it & 5 of the 6 wickets to go have been nothing short of brainless, selfish, self indulgent, arrogant crap.
After putting the aussies on the rack, England are throwing it away.
Bet the aussies can’t believe their luck & how utterly stupid England have been.

Getting the lead under a 100 will make the Aussies think a bit more, watching that come down (even slowly) will at least put a bit of pressure back on them, they can’t bowl bumpers all day and will be hoping to roll us for lunch

How smart are the Aussies, ok Bazball England captain, let's see how good you are at hitting this.
We all know playing Bazball Cricket is 50/50 win rate at best, but facing the Aussies they work you out very quickly,

From what I have seen yesterday and today Bazball England has nowhere else to go and needs binning in the ashes because its horses for courses and the right time and place. The Ashes are bigger than that

England were 187 for 1, then 188 for 2. Now they are at this point. Think about that.
You can't even say that England have batted badly. They've been worse than that. They've batted irresponsibly.

It's a lot like the Morgan role in the ODI team where he was often out of form with the bat but his leadership meant so much to the team he simply had to play.

You can't drop Stokes because of his leadership and captaincy, the whole things falls apart without him. Hopefully he can get into a position to bowl later in the series, and I'm sure he'll have a good knock at some stage.

I’m not saying leave him out and obviously it won’t happen anyway with him being captain. It’s one thing him doing fuck all with the bat but now he’s an all rounder who can’t bowl. I was all for going with Root as the spinner in this game. However, if Stokes could bowl we could have had a world class wicket keeper in who’s also decent with bat.

The team is currently unbalanced with a big tail because of this. Add to that the idiotic batting and the series could be all most thrown away over the next couple of days. It’s entertaining though.

Or alternatively we could knock 50-60 runs for the loss of 1 and their bowlers are starting to tire a little, no Lyon is massive as he normally knocks the tail over, if Bairstow is still in and the sun comes out they might not even take the new ball
