That umpire is a proper useless ****. He wouldn’t have given us that “wicket”. Not the first time he’s erroneously found in favour of the convicts.

I called going down leg in real time.

It will be interesting to see the game plan approaching tea. At some point they will have to treat it like a T20 game. We need the Aussies to be batting again by tomorrow morning at the latest to have any hope of winning this.

There's minimum 64 overs yet. So if they bat normally until 30 mins after tea, they would be on about 250 and could still play a full T20 innings after that and put Australia in tomorrow morning.

Crawley looks like he is going to get out every over! Was lucky this morning not a chance he is going to get a ton unless he makes him self only for balls on his pads!

Not to dissimilar to what I said then. I just think they need to put the pressure on the Aussies at the right time or else the game will be gone.

True. I think I'll be happy scoring at the present rate during most of the afternoon session but only if we preserve most of our wickets. We'll have to truly go for it at some point though today

I think unless there's a batting collapse or things go terribly they will be bowling at Australia for the last 30 mins of the day.

For England the path to victory must look like getting a small 1st innings lead, hoping Australia's second innings takes place between the rain showers with awful conditions for batting, then mounting a <200 run chase in whatever game time we get on Saturday and Sunday.

Yep got think like county cricket think to get result

Based on what we've seen so far, these two are about to both be out in the 40s and we'll all start panicking a bit! We need to push the game on so happy with the approach so far. We want it to be a one innings game, with time left. Hopefully we can get a lead this time around so there's more pressure on the Aussies when they bat again. It would be brilliant if it could go to the Oval at 2-2 and there's a proper winner. As long as that winner is us!

Was just about to say at this showing Crawley isn’t making it much past 50 (if he even gets there!!)

The really important bit is Root comes in and plays a proper innings. If these two can get 50s on a wicket, then Joe Root should be lining up a century.

These 2 must be thinking that if they get centuries then England might only have to bat properly once.

Get to tea 220/1 (or 2) and then fucking go for it with all the wickets in hand, tired bowlers and an old ball.

All series long, England have just needed to put 2 good sessions together back to back, and they’ve never managed it. Every time they get ahead they cock up. If they can win this session they can win the match.

They never take their warnings.

The edges 2 overs ago and the drop the previous over were the warning signs, but they just ignore it and throw away their wicket.
