Met office app says complete wash out on Saturday, Sunday similar and Friday went from no rain to light showers throughout the day.I’ve got the first three days fine sat/sun rain

Friday doesn't look too bad still but could be a few short stoppages. I'd expect to get 60 or 70 overs in as things stand. That’s some fucking line up Australia have, especially with their 2 batting line ups. We have done well to have won one and come close in 2. My worry is if the 3 top batsmen in the world rankings click (that and the Manchester rain!)

Not sure I would have bowled first.
Definitely wouldn't. Sounds like the pitch is good for batting, and if the weather is better for the first two days, then they'll not be interrupted too much.
The idea that they have Cummins listed as a no. 10 is a bit crazy.

I think these will be good cloudy swing bowling conditions (although maybe that will be the case everyday), and tactically/mentally I think the idea is to try and bowl them out today, try and get ahead asap by batting quickly and then having them under a bit of pressure second innings. Either way England will be playing very aggressively, shit or bust, draw of no interest to StokesNot sure I would have bowled first.
