This is good for us, surely? The momentum was with India towards the end there. Chance for Smith and Overton to reset, calm down and get the job done. Also, a further night for Woakes to rest his shoulder, and come in if he has to.
I remember Cowdrey coming in with a broken arm. He did not face a ball.

I was surprised they sent in Overton before Atkinson. Wasn't it a bit early for a nightwatchman, if that was the thinking?

Whatever happens tomorrow — this has, all things considered, been a good, sometimes enthralling series, between two teams where there isn't a lot to choose. India's behaviour has been poor at times, but they can certainly play, both with bat and ball, and anyway it proves that test cricket still counts, that there is fire and needle in it.
For me, it counts a lot more than T20, probably more than the one-day fifty over game (I won't even sully my lips by dwelling on the Hundred, soundbite cricket for an age with the attention span of a gnat). It's kept the summer interesting for me.

Commentators going on about announcing tickets or entry for day 5 when it had already sold out and if there is a result tomorrow zero refunds even if one or two overs.

Modern day cricket, or at least since 2005 when they shot the prices up even for day 5 which used to be free or £10.

I see Hands took a catch for Lancashire against Cheshire, and also got a run out.

So it looks like Hands has good Hands.

You'd better not drop many with a surname like that.

There was a rugby league prop forward, Alan Prescott, who broke his arm after four minutes playing for GB against Australia. Carried on and played the rest of the match. These soft southerners, eh?

England's behaviour has been poor at times too. Both as bad as each other.

Don't even start me in that Hundred shit. Its bad enough the testvseries being compressed into a few weeks to accommodate it.

It could be all over very quickly this! They need to look for 1 run keep the score board ticking over if we just going to block or waft at a wide ball without looking for the singles be mad
