Too flat and skiddy with very little variation beyond a slower ballHe is supposed to be the great white hope.

Jimmy rates him. God knows why. I can’t think of exactly who he reminds me of, but we’ve had plenty like him in English cricket.I'd not realised that today's match is 20/20. South Africa in a hurry.
I don't know who Sonny Baker is, but it's not going well as an opening bowler. Astonishing that he got a third over.
Have to be honest; I've never understood the hype about Bopara. I don't think he ever really reached the heights consistently for England. I always got the feeling that there was more to come from him. But that was some knock. Even the Surrey fans were willing him on at the end.Amazing innings from Bopara in the T20. 105 off 46 balls, especially in a 14 over game.
Firstly, your last point, no, you are far from alone and would need to join the queue.Have to be honest; I've never understood the hype about Bopara. Shooting off at a tangent; am I the only person who thinks that Sam Curran has the appearance of someone who you'd like to catch asleep on a train?
FFS;I'd make the Lancs team, and I won't see 63 again.Firstly, your last point, no, you are far from alone and would need to join the queue.
That being said, he’s got to be a better option for England than some that played yesterday.
Bopara is like a poor man’s Adam Hollioake. Decent enough, but not in the top tier of cricketers. He’d still make the Lancs team mind.
Glad they lost. But that game was infinitely better than any game the hundred has served up.Shame that Curran couldn’t see it through…
Last sentence, agreed mate.Bopara has been one of the best T20 and players since it started 22 years ago and has been a great county player across all formats.
He would have walked into the 90s England team and was far better than that mediocre Australian batting wise.
It will be interesting to see the Lancashire squad on Friday and who is available, I reckon a few will await that before buying tickets, but no rain due so far.
Regarding Sam Curran you are very very much not on your own JimHave to be honest; I've never understood the hype about Bopara. He’s average unless the wicket has pace in it. Not enough variations or movement.Piss poor bowling.
Archer nowhere near as good as Sky would have us believe.
I’d make the Lancs team and I’m 66 and recovering from a double stroke.Firstly, your last point, no, you are far from alone and would need to join the queue.

Good to see Surrey out……Shame that Curran couldn’t see it through…
