I was wrong on two counts...
1. The century wasn't needed after all.
2. I said at least one of Root/Brook/Bairstow/Stokes would fail. 3 of them did!
I took century as and one person had to bat well, which they did , I agreed , Brook got the large score , we won , seems prity accurate

Never been so please to be wrong, but let's be honest. The Australian attack have not, on the whole, been bowling unplayable balls right through the series. It is us shooting ourselves in the foot, over and over and over. Right down to Brook (congrats, Harry, because let's not be churlish, after all).
We've simply got to get a grip in the next two tests. Oh and goodbye Bairstow, I hope. Has played some wonderful knocks in the past, but it seems a long time ago.
Bairstow needs to get back into the County game to find his form. He shouldn’t be in contention for the rest of the series.

He’s just not got the confidence or muscle memory for taking regular catches and he’s really let the last test controversy get to him

No it's not an illusion, but the likes of Woakes and Wood are not blame if they give their wickets away trying to score. Anyway they didn't so well played.

You're absolutely right in principle, but they're not giving their wickets away, by and large. They're making the Aussies pay through the nose for them. The way the Aussie tail has so often done to England. That's intelligent cricket, and if it's not bazball, well too bad…

Anyway, exultant. And above all… relieved. Would have been crushed with disappointment if we'd fucked that up.

Considering the fine margins where we have FAILED ( yes I admit we have failed without a shadow of a doubt) but could quite easily be 3 0 up , I fancy us to have a chance of beating any team .
Oh and regards, to root here is just one example
I'm happy to debate anything in an adult manner ( adult meaning not resorting to insults) infact I encourage it
Here Meeesh I'm a noob and don't know how to tag , I was calm then also btw

You can't help but warm to Wood. He comes across as a really down to earth fella.

Just a pity about that accent!
Reminds me of Grealish in the way he interviews.

None of the media trained bullshit answers, always honest and open and genuinely seems to love the game he plays
