Great win with some great performances by Brook and Carse but could have been total different game if Nee Zealand caught there chances!
England keep picking Crawley has now ruined him they should have dropped him for a year see how he goes for his county and a reset! He still has two more test matches to improve though so let's see..

I wonder why they took so long to pick Carse. He’s 29 now. It is said he has the very skills that are needed at the top level, so he should have been tried earlier. They rather persisted with the two great oldies plus several eggshells.

Excellent result, and performance. Particularly when you remember that only last month, the Kiwis handed India their first whitewash in a home series. Winning a series in India by any score is not to be sniffed at; to whitewash them is a phenomenal achievement.

Agree with all of that, in particular re Crawley.
Post match the interviewer did a really thorough job with Stokes but the one aspect / player he did ask him about was Crawley. And Stokes didn’t bring him up either. Bit disappointed in the interviewer tbh.

I think I read a year or two back that cricket over it’s history is statistically the sport with the greatest home advantage, so what you say about more away wins recently is quite interesting there.
