They’re going to lose this, aren’t they?
They certainly are. They’re going to lose this, aren’t they?
How on earth did we let Northants get 273 after the start yesterday?!
Been out all day and just catching up.
Suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, but still …
Could end up in Division 3 next season at this rate …They certainly are.
They are a pale shadow of previous Lancashire teams.
Minor counties would suit this team.Could end up in Division 3 next season at this rate …
They'd probably struggle in the Lancashire Cricket League at the minuteCould end up in Division 3 next season at this rate …
Yes, I’d quite enjoy the odd Cheshire Lancs match actually.Minor counties would suit this team.
There’s probably not enough money in 4 day cricket for counties to care.Yes, I’d quite enjoy the odd Cheshire Lancs match actually.
But in all seriousness it is getting beyond a joke. I don’t normally bother with the members forums etc, but I would like to hear what the club intend doing to change this situation.
Okay, well let’s see how we fare in the other formats then …There’s probably not enough money in 4 day cricket for counties to care.
We tend to do pretty well in the 20/20. The size of OT boundaries holds us back a bit though.Okay, well let’s see how we fare in the other formats then …
The Metro 50 over competition? We tend to do pretty well in the 20/20. The size of OT boundaries holds us back a bit though.
Tend to get to the knockouts.
The 40 over cup was enjoyable in the last couple of seasons as you get to see the younger players have a go.
Sorry, did mean the 50 over comp. The Metro 50 over competition?
I’ve enjoyed going to the likes of Sedbergh and Blackpool to watch that competition instead of going to the Hundred each August if I’m honest pal.
The other thing I meant to say was, the club may not care about 4 day for financial reasons, but I know a lot of their members don’t feel that way! (Based on what I’ve picked up anyway).
The powers that be want a successful test team, test players come from county cricket.Sorry, did mean the 50 over comp.
I agree about the 4 day game. It creates more rounded cricketers who will excel in all formats as a result, rather than being home run Derby exhibitionists.
Sadly, most counties follow the money.
They’re not getting one though, are they? The powers that be want a successful test team, test players come from county cricket.
Bazball is over. They’re not getting one though, are they?
