Heaven! However, must be:

1. Plain crisps (that's Ready Salted for the kids out there),
2. On white bread,
3. Bread must be buttered (absolutely no marge).

Oh, and lastly, they always taste better with a beer - as our American cousins would say 'go figure'.

Ahh we are talking about underclass food stuffs.

I think i had one at a mates once beyond that i have never had them, as a kid it was peanut butter or strawberry jam and a pack of skips for after.
All washed down with a top deck shandy, heaven.

Love crisp buttys but I think it should come with a warning. Beware of right angled crisp as they will cut your gums to ribbons!

I tend to press lightly on the butty before consumption. ;)
