Sorry Omnia with respect I just don't get it.
So we can write off Shearers top PL scorer stats as meaningless? Jesus, I understand this pathological hatred of all things associated with Ragland, but Ronaldos stats are hollow? Do me a favour.
La Liga is not the strongest? Have you only started watching football this year? Last 10 years, La Liga has won the CL 6 times. Admittedly, five of those were Barcelona, but they also included a Madrid derby as a final.Completely different. Shearer played for his home-town club (a midtable EPL outfit not one of the top 5 teams in the World). He had offers to join the RAG's but turned them down, like Le Tiss did. That is honourable.
I mean what do goals mean if they ultimately do not deliver trophies? what is the point? individual acclaim? they are good stats but again La Liga is not the strongest and one could argue could he repeat those numbers over in the EPL? somehow I doubt it. When he played in England he had 1 outstanding season where he scored 42 goals, and even that is nothing compared to his stats in Spain.
Whole thread could be reduced to this summary. Don't want him anywhere near us.Prancing pony in cuntish rant shocker
I hate modern football and how everything has become too stat-orientated. A player can score a tap-in a bad performance, get a lucky assist.. proves nothing. Watch a player, watch his magic, the way he moves, his movement off the ball, his work ethic, his leadership.. passing etc. The good old days of scouting players.
How many other players would step up if Ronaldo left Real Madrid? we will never know but Real Madrid would survive just fine someone would step up out of Ronaldo's shadow. They are such a massive club that is guaranteed.
Ronaldo has got his padded stats which ultimately mean nothing when Real Madrid end the season trophyless (again). His stats are very hollow when they don't lead to team trophies ! it's a team sport.
