Cristiano Ronaldo

Not sure if it's been mentioned or not because I haven't read the thread for ages, but that Gilly Ballbag fella was just on talkshite and mentioned that Spains tax laws change next year, and Ronaldo will need to double his money just to earn what he's earning now.
It's all about his wages and nothing more.

I dont think Silva will be going anywhere then.

All the united supporting journo's are really making me laugh today. "ronaldo unhappy with his wages" "he will only sign for a club with real history". what a pile of shite. if its about money, he will go wherever pays him the most.

The reds in here actually believe that there is no way whatsoever, that ronaldo whould even consider city, due to loyalties to ferguson, If he was that fucking loyal he would have stayed

Quote from a rag i work with "ronaldo is not an out and out mercanary like tevez"

This is the man that kicked off like fuck for 3 years cos he wanted to go to madrid, now he's there, he wants off again unless they pay him more

And if another club such as PSG pays him more and he goes there for the money the RAG's will idolise him more for rejecting us when we was never interested!

It amazes me how much this has been forgotten. Most people think he wanted to leave in 2009, when Real put in the 80 million bid. It started way before that. After the 2006 WC, he was quoted as saying he wanted to go to Spain, but Ferguson made him stay. The summer transfer window of 2008 was dominated by whether Ronaldo would join Real. It led to Ferguson's "I wouldn't sell them a virus" rant, and Blatter infamously saying Ronaldo was being treated like a slave. He clearly wanted out, and it looked very likely of happening, but Ferguson and Gill dug their heels in, and managed to convince him to stay for another season. They made him put out a statement (which was blatantly a lie) on MUTV to try and convince everyone he was staying, and most swallowed the nonsense. They couldn't keep hold of him forever though. Ronaldo treated them pretty shabbily, and is now doing the same at Real. He's selfish. Ronaldo only cares about Ronaldo.

If the lad ends up in China at 28 then he only has his greed and selfishness to blame for it. Ronaldo cares more about the colour of money then the badge on the shirt, just like Wio and Shrek. Even Tevez is the same the RAGs was/are full of them it must be mandatory requirement!

It does not matter with Silva because is he a Spanish citizen, he will remain on the base rate tax players are on at the moment.

It is the Beckham law Spain are scapping, it is what is enabling foreign players to be taxed the same as Spanish players.

What a user. What many predicted.

The Mirror says that Ferguson has told the Rag board to break the bank to sign him up. Maybe that's simply to prevent us from doing so. What a load of cobblers.

Another problem for Real is the abolition of the so-called ‘Beckham Law’, under which they agreed to pay Ronaldo £8m a year net, with the club meeting his 24 per cent tax obligation. Ronaldo’s current contract still benefits from the ‘Beckham Law’. But any new contract would, from 2015, be subject to a 52 per cent tax.

Paying Ronaldo his £8m a year has been costing the club just under £10m a season. Now, by giving in to his 30 per cent pay increase demands, his new £10.35m take home pay would see them shelling out more than £20m a season.

So all this about us paying extreme wages despite other PL players on same/higher ie Rooney, Madrid are paying around £400k a week on Ronaldo. Just something to remember incase they start talking about "history" and "money" before our CL game

I can assure you all that anything blurted out by ChinaDaily is a far cry away from reality. This 'news' distributor bangs out all sorts of Communist Party drivel, propaganda and the like, being that it is funded by the CCP, making Murdoch look like a wet dream in terms of freedom of the press and accurate reporting. Ronaldo will not be going to China.

they don't, they're paying 10m with taxes included. that's just little bit over 200k.

If he signs new contract with his wanted 30% increase and with new taxes in charge, then it would be 20m or 400k+.

It would be the perfect op for him to do a pele. Score 100+ goals a season in a shit league and then claim to be the greatest ever ( minus the int. sucess)

We have denied interest in him which i don't understand

He's a rag but hes a world class footballer and they don't come around too often Mancini already he wants him in the summer but Marwood is no doubt stopping it!
