If Ronaldo was available we would without doubt be in for him. The cost doesn't really matter, you get most of it back commercially and as much as he's a massive **** he's the second best player in the world.

Really? Just can't see us paying over 60m+ for a player

Until we break even I just cannot see it as well.

Real Madrid have had the best of Ronaldo's commercial value anyway, players like Neymar are the upcoming marketing superstars.

Beckham's commercial value is still strong at 38..

Are our new Barca directors fans of his? we have heard they don't fancy Mourinho does that mean they wouldn't want Ronaldo for the same reason.

In 2014 Neymar is going to be the face of the World Cup in Brazil. His commercial worth is OT going to skyrocket. For me, given the choice of the 2, Neymar is the only one that makes financial & football sense.

Unwise investment with Tranny approaching 28. Neymar is much younger and will probably cost less.

25/30 premier League goals guaranteed and the revenue his name would make world wide it'd be a no brainier.

That works to certain price but City can't afford to pay huge sum for him, City are not Madrid and wouldn't sell anything close of his merchandize Madrid did.

And he apparently wants new contract at Madrid that would include big part, if not all, of image rights.

I'm all for Ronaldo but maximum that he would be worth, and I guess even that is too much, is something in the line of what Madrid paid for him.

I'm with this I'd be shocked if neymar didn't have a concrete deal in place with some European club before the WC starts cause it will end up being a ton of spotlight on that club and neymar which will be great

Tranny makes more sense. Neymar is unproven in the prem and in Europe.

Can I ruin your dreams :)

I'd be shocked if any of them would be City player.

Ronaldo is too unrealistic with money involved and Neymar pretty much can chose between Madrid or Barcelona whenever he wants, and there's no chance he'll chose City in that situation.

Yep I agree about both players.

If you buy Ronaldo why do you take him only on a 3-year contract after spending what would be a world record transfer fee? To get him to lower his wages at the end of it? Ronaldo will be a beast well into his 30s anyway.

More bollox in the end.

more bollox that probably wont end just like the rumours of madrid tapping up Silva will never end or aguero being unsettled and being on his way out
