It was a beautiful place before the Balkans war , when it got bombed to fuck.
However it has nearly all been rebuilt in its original form.
Its lovely weather and a nice place. Cheap too and the locals are friendly.

Take an umbrella - it will rain a lot.

And a warm sweater for the evenings.

Watch out for wolf packs and bears if you go for a walk in the woods.

Don't eat the pies.

Me and the Mrs spent a week there at the end of June, it's a fantastic place. Do the walk round the old town wall and get the cable car up to the Museum of the Homeland War, and you must find the two cliff side bars that are outside the walls.
