Croatia vs Portugal - Euro 2016: Last 16 - 25/06/16

All the same these tournaments. Same with world cup. Group stages are ok as teams are looking for a win to progress. As soon as knockout stages come around teams are so scared to death of losing they forget to attack. Zzzzzzzzzz

This game isn't anywhere near as good as I expected. Neither team can put a decent attack together.

3 mediocre games today. Indeed, how many really good games have there been in the tournament? The Croatia/Spain and Portugal/ Hungary games are the only ones that stick in my mind.
I thought England vs Wales was entertaining, then again that's likely because I'm biased

Me too,the only reason i am watching,i think portugal will nick a goal soon though

I hope not. I have to log out now because I recorded the Swiss/Poland match and don't know the result yet (I did watch the extra time before I went out).
I had recorded the Wales match but some stupid sheep shagger waving a flag out of his car window ruined that for me.

I don't think this new format has helped. Previously if you wanted to go through you needed to win games. Now teams are through without winning a game or losing two. It doesn't promote attacking football, the most important thing is not losing. And now like you say, teams are so scared to lose they don't try and win.

Level is as poor s your reply. Today made me even think we (Dutch) could have actually got a few results against any of these teams. But I am overreacting now...
Must be gutting seeing teams like NI and Hungary doing ok and Holland not there. Always such a great nation for producing class footballers, guess these things go in cycles, won't be long before they are back.
