"The news from Manchester regarding the terrorist attack targeting a Jewish synagogue has been a profound shock to us," the statement said.

"The Al Shamie family in the UK and abroad strongly condemns this heinous act, which targeted peaceful, innocent civilians."

"We fully distance ourselves from this attack and express our deep shock and sorrow over what has happened," the suspect's relatives wrote on social media.

"Our hearts and thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we pray for their strength and comfort."

The family also asked media outlets to "respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time and refrain from using this tragic event in any context that does not reflect the truth".

They add that they pray for the swift recovery of any injured victims.

The statement is signed by "Faraj Al Shamie, The Al Shamie Family UK and Abroad"

So, taking this into the current context of information we have, that rules out influence from the family until further information is, possibly, uncovered.

I'm not going to push back on your post, too much, but that was 2 years ago and a LOT of people were angry at the zionists for the previous years of conflict. I'm not going to defend the post nor attempt to 'understand' the praising of death.

But, again, 2 years is a long time and people can regret or change.

For example, Ahmed al-Sharaa, the current leader of Syria who, just 18 months ago-ish, was seemingly on the FBI/ CIA most wanted list for being a leading terrorist attached to al-Qaeda. Now he, openly, shakes hands with Lammy.



So, if he can "change", anyone can.

But, I'll await further evidence of current position for the family.

Sometimes you wonder how a charge has been brought at all but complainants are believed, that’s more or less the starting point then the person accused is on bail for years due to the criminal justice system in this country. It must be awful for both parties but that’s another thread altogether
