Gave my vote to Alvarez. It could have gone to Rodders though, what a player. A mention to Ake who had another fine game.
Can we also give a nod to Ederson who made one good interception from a cross in the first half and that bit of skill in the second half that had Pep with a look like he was almost boiling a kettle through his ears:)

Hoolian, the way he linked play was incredible, especially when we went right to left or vice versa, cutting out the need for risky 60 yd switch passes, he also excelled in tight spaces and was an absolute menace all night, one of his best performances

Alvarez - ran the show all night. Felt like a mix between Gundogan and KDB tonight. Nice short passes, constantly moving between the lines, accurate long balls and finished with 2 goals.

I thought he was class but didn't realise he was this good and with more game time he'll only get better as his attitude is perfect and he is obviously very intelligent.

If he keeps this form up I'd actually prefer not to sign Wirtz and keep him in this position permanently.
