Micah Richards will dissapear into the eether before too long. Once a great prospect, now caught in the headlights after a couple of reasonable England performances, 60k per week (which I dont have a probelm with) and a reliance on muscle building milk shakes.....

How many premiership defenders (other than Richard Dunn, who actually does quite well for his bulk) can you name who are even nearly as bulky as Richards, none....

He doesnt have the mobility, stamina and more importantly the know how to be a top class defender

Id bet my bottom dollor he weighs more than Andy Morrison!

Crying shame for City, and the very ill advised lad himself....

Nah, too many good influences around him from the coaches and other players for him to stray too far. Besides, if you look at the business side of things, he is basically an economical asset to the club - young English player with recognised abilities that in the end we could get a few million for if we could get him playing well again.

I know what you are getting at - so many young City players seem to burn out before realising their full potential, but that's the old City culture and way of thinking. Micah to get himself sorted in pre-season and come back looking top class again next season, I say!

bloody hell..this thread has got me fired up for tonight!

Coming on here pre-match is like sitting next to Ted Stryker on a long haul flight!!!

Surely you cannot be serious..........

And only matched by SWP in the 'City Players who sound like complete Divs' category.

Still, hope he can pull it round, but I'd have no problem binning him if he can't get it sorted by the end of the season (well, making him a 'squad' player, anyway).........

Get a RB who can cross the bloody ball and overlap SWP (I mean, whats the point in SWP having become a good little coverer at RB if Micah never swaps with him ? SWP only ends up covering Rb when Micah is too lazy / slow to get back, not when he has done something good at the other end).

He's young and has plenty of time to get himself right mentally and physically.

If he needs to go on a programme, then put him on the programme (this should have happened months ago to be fair). If he needs some time out of the team to get his body right, then do it (this also should have been done months ago).

But he is still very young, and has bucket loads of potential. You don't turn into a shit footballer overnight, so what we've got to do is get him right first of all, get him back to the form he has shown in the past, and then develop him from there.
