Crystal Palace (A) I PL I Post Match Thread

Who was this imaginary man covering the line? Was it one of those he burned past and left for dead on the half way line? If Henderson doesn't bring him down, he's slotting it into an empty net, only chance he doesn't score is if he somehow missed the target from an open net. Even his biggest haters would be finding it difficult to suggest that would likely happen.
Bollocks. Just watched it again.

He’s not yet hit the floor and the defender has had time to even change his run to go for the ball.

He was running on goal and pushed the ball past the keeper at 45 degrees away from the goal. It’s at best a 50:50 he beats the defender there a) ok his weaker foot and b) given the fact he shoots as he does.

well i could say hes into his 8th season playing at least 25 games for man city’s first team.

at the same point Rooney was scoring an overhead kick against city and about to peak in the 2011 champions league final where he was the only good thing about united that night.

Sterling at 25 years and 7 months was about to start the 2020/21 season for city which would be his peak probably.

Foden is not young nor is he developing or ‘yet to peak’ Its highly likely that he has already peaked in 2023/24 player of the season form.

players who starts at 16yo or 17yo burn out early.
Bollocks. Foden, unlike Sterling, is not a pace merchant nor was he being played 50 games a season as a teenager.

Can't see that at all.
Haaland missed his last 2 attempts to go round the keeper.
He was well past Henderson and was deliberately taken down. It was one of Savinho's better moments all season and posters are still critical.
Haaland may miss but I'd back him over most others & he won't hide when the next opportunity comes along. Yes, it was likely one of Savinho's better moments...which says it all sadly.

What on earth are you on about?

Yeah I'm not one for conspiracies normally - but that was such a deliberate attempt to 'do' him. I bet he carried that , winded , bruised or cracked rib.. made his second knock hard to ride..hence the horrific injury - not once mentioned in the 'meeja'. A rare Ballon d'Or winner playing in the premier league getting deliberately 'knobbled' The prem lost the best player in the world and not a peep from the meeja cnts.. it really is sickening how our club is treated especially when others have twisted rules as well (int free loans etc)
Exactly that. It's just a shame that more people haven't seen the footage from that camera because it was crystal clear that it was deliberate.
