Crystal Palace (A) I PL I Post Match Thread

chugging along nicely, we do lose the ball far too easily sometimes, however when we get rodri back fit and firing we should get that control back, too many times we are getting the opposition midfielders having a free run at our defence, get that sorted and we will go long in every competition

I thought that was odd. Just in the middle of the commentary "Manchester United have been here to Selhurst Park and won this season". As far as I could hear, there was no link to them before or after, just a gratuitous, random mention.
Always shoehorned into our games.
They just hate the fact that they live in our shadow

Same as Madrid really, the second best team but we got away with it. I think we have scored 5 goals from 6 chances over the two games, of which 2 were penalties and one from a corner.

We aren't going to carry on getting away with performances like this. Rodri is needed back desperately.
I am sure had we not you’d be complaining that we never try to win penalties and our corners are shite. Or maybe you’d prefer our chances to goals ratio is 20 to 1.

A really bad post.

Poor in the sense that we were quite open and didnt control the game at all. ...second half was very different...the team was a lot closer together and much more connected as a result.

On Riejnders im sorry - baring the first game vs Wolves (who could go down as the worst ever prem team) he has been nothing short of pathetic and NOTHING today was better than any other game he has played...his work rate is shocking, he cant tackle, doesnt retain possession, doesnt work back to get goal side when out of possession. At present he is fucking shocking....he creates very little - he is a goal threat but that is about it....

Its not just about today - its every time he s on the pitch

He has the ability - I have zero doubt about that but that almost makes it worst....and the time arguement with a player who is 27 doesnt work - Ferna came in at roughly the same age and immediately hit the ground running and got better....Reijnders couldnt get much worse at present.

It was a positive run by Sav - would have liked to see him slot it away but at least he got the penalty - but his position is the bench at present and coming on near the end of matches to try and build his confidence....nothing more

Most were 7's Id agree but not Reijnders (4 at best) and possibly Donarumma (6) - flapped again and should have caught one he punched as well....Foden if he hadnt of scored would have been a 6 - he has played a lot better recently
I'm glad I don't live in your head.

It wasn’t daylight robbery but a bit of a smash and grab. We still allowed too many chances due to a weakish midfield but the back four blocks were brilliant. A clean sheet to go with another three goals down to sheer hard work. Cherki is a star and Phil’s finish was superb. Nunes excellent. Shout out to Savinho for his penalty “assist”. A very good week.
Btw, I thought Kolo handled the presser on Friday very well.

Entitled to your own negative and bizarre opinion pal - thought we played well today. You would have had a stroke watching us in the 80’s and 90’s

Many more performances like these two and the board are gonna have to have a very serious discussion about Pep. He's been great for us but nothing lasts forever.
The serious discussion should be Pep telling the board certain fans of ours should be banned for life.

This was different to recent games, we were rubbish in the first half and lucky not to be three or four one down, but really good in the second half.
