Crystal Palace (A) I PL I Post Match Thread

we can't get kovacic and rodri back soon enough, we can't keep getting away with that midfield much longer
We won't be getting Kovavic back for a while and no one knows with Rodri.
If we do go onto the market, one or more of our current squad will have to go.
I can't see Pep doing that in the January window even though its what might be needed

did i say we were shit? i simply pointed out that we need to get our midfield sorted
The point is it's the same old drivel and it's fucking boring. We won again, we scored 3 again, we're second and improving, we now have a better goal difference while they're hanging on for dear life and relying on an injury time OG for the win (which kept us off top spot) and you're still not happy.

JUST enjoy the ride and stop moaning FFS.

What was pep and glasner discussing, went on a while and pep looked like he was bollocking him?
Great result after playing Madrid away, we have our centre back pairing sorted, josko immense yet again.

It wasn’t daylight robbery but a bit of a smash and grab. We still allowed too many chances due to a weakish midfield but the back four blocks were brilliant. A clean sheet to go with another three goals down to sheer hard work. Cherki is a star and Phil’s finish was superb. Nunes excellent. Shout out to Savinho for his penalty “assist”. A very good week.
Btw, I thought Kolo handled the presser on Friday very well.
The lino not flagging for offside. Even their best chance ,when he hit the top of the bar ,could have been flagged.

Was going to say the same about you pal - no idea why all the negativity is in this thread- as I said to your miserable mate you would have had a stroke watching us in the 80’a and 90’s - suggest you man up and stop with fekin non stop moaning. Good away performance against a good team - end of.
what none stop moaning, i merely pointed out we are struggling to control midfield and if you can't see that your'e thick, and by the way i started watching city in 1960 and got my first season ticket in 1972, went home and away until 2018 so fuck off lecturing me about the 80s and 90s

likewise as you clearly cant read a series of posts and just look to pick out the bits that suit your own misplaced narrative....go look at my original post where I said we played much better in the second half...it must be hard being so sensative
Why are folk having stupid, childish arguments after we’ve won 3-0 at Palace just after winning in Madrid? This world is weird (or just fucked)

Grealish wasnt a scapegoat...e was just bang average and that has been proven.

You cleaely didnt read the full post as there was postives as well...

So maybe its YOU that is looking for something eh?
You always focus on negatives..you hated Grealish and now you transferred your negativity to another player..makes me wonder why you watch City..I mean there is fuck all you enjoy about the game..

I've read your posts, unfortunately.

Seems I'm not the only one that thinks you talk shite.

So here you go a list of the positives in that first post

1 . great reuslt
2 Second half much more connected through the team
3 Cherki and Foden stepping up centrally,
4. NOR showing why he is first choice fullback
5 Nunes good again (great assist)
6 Cherkis ability to control a game - liking him to Spannish Dave - which is a huge fucking compliment in itself
7. Nico G - workhorse

So 7 different positives in the original post which had negativs abot the first half performance not being connected and reijnders' individual performance.

So again show me where I didnt post positives....

You just like to come on here and have a pop at anyone who dare suggest something that you dont agree with ...you are such a sensitive petal it seems

Had it been outside the box (and obviously a different goalkeeper, as Henderson is immune from punishment for fouls outside the box), it would have been a red card, but in this instance the double-jeopardy rule is invoked and the referee's discretion comes into play as to whether the foul was severe enough to warrant a sending off.

Basically, another subjective rule that can be applied depending on who is playing.
It's not about severity.

Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offender is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball or a challenge for the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.), the offending player must be sent off.

Was Henderson challenging for the ball or was he holding Savinho's leg?

Great result!

We were under the cosh for ¾ of the game, Palace had a number of chances to go 1-0 up and to make it 1-1… yet we won 0-3.

We looked tired today, and a few of our lads didn’t have good games, but Gvardiol, O’Reilly and especially Nunes played very well, and we took our goals well.

Oh and fuck off Henderson you cheating Rag ****!
Palace huffed and puffed but never really looked like scoring. A lot can't seem to understand that because we're playing against a 10-man wall every week, other sides are always going to get more open chances on the break. The key is we know most can't finish them and we're always likely to score more.

Arsenal are relying on a strong defence but aren't prolific scorers. I back us to edge the closer games more often even if there are a few goals in it.

Great result and nearly a repeat of the Madrid game.

Sloppy first half but much improved second half.

Thought Cherki was really good….Foden like the team had a poor first half but great in the second half.

Reijjnders was poor and ineffective throughout but not helped by playing up top rather than deeper where he can run with the ball or arrive late into the box.

We have got to improve with our tackling and even Nico who at times was too ponderous wasn’t winning any of his duals.

Can’t wait to see either Rodri or a new physical midfielder partner Nico.

We got a little luck today that maybe we didn’t last season plus Donna’s shot stopping has made a big difference.

We are definitely improving….compare some of the results with last season…Arsenal, Brentford, Everton and Palace all improved on from last season…but we are still a work in progress.

Well said. We all knew this was going to be a tough place to go, we won 3-0 and they're still whinging. We're second to "runaway leaders" Arsenal and now we have a superior goal difference would have been top ON MERIT (i.e. same number of matches played) but for a scabby last minute own goal last night. But we're improving while they're faltering.

Another new record set today by Pep, 150 wins with 3 or more goals scored but that will have gone over their heads. Still pushing for trophies, records set every week, a quarter final to play in midweek and they're still moaning. Who do they think is going to come in and do any better?
If it wasn't for a scabby own goal last night and an injury time equaliser at the Emirates, we'd be 3 points clear with a better goal difference
