Crystal Palace (A) I PL I Post Match Thread

Show me where I typed that ?

You manage to post positives and still sound negative, personally I couldn't care less, I enjoyed the game, we won at a difficult place to win at, keeping a clean sheet, and dominated the game.

There are a number of posters on here (not just you) who are desperate to be negative, they can't help themselves even after a good result and performance.

Tada....
agree on that we won at a difficult place to win keeping a clean sheet. .....we were much better int he second half...we didnt dominate the game (posession wise yes but they created more).....thats just a rounded opinion...saying I SOUND negative when i posted at least 7 different positive points is your problem in your head.

Maybe its your mindset that is so defensive and frail that you see others as desperate to be negative when they arent.....id call posting both positive and negatives balanced....couldnt give a fuck what you think about others but you are wrong to post that I posted negative when Ive clearly just posted otherwise - and proved so....you aint big enough to admit it though - no surprise in that

Commentators and pundits constantly have free pot shots at City, often with unsubstantiated claims.. we are such an easy target as we realistically have a large but localised fan base..getting bigger globally but dwarfed by others.. For the likes of Sky they can take advantage and nail us without harming international subs and revenue streams, dippers, Rags and Tarquins well they have to tow the corporate line and back them...sickening really as I have to turn the sound off completely if watching on TV
I actually switched to one of the foreign streams that I couldn't understand because I got fed up of listening to it. There was a particular great tackle from Gonzelez where the replay clearly showed he won the ball yet they were saying he was lucky he didn't get a yellow.

Same as Madrid really, the second best team but we got away with it. I think we have scored 5 goals from 6 chances over the two games, of which 2 were penalties and one from a corner.

We aren't going to carry on getting away with performances like this. Rodri is needed back desperately.
I can't help thinking that Rodri could be our modern day Colin Bell re his injury. Keeps battling back..breaking down etc. I wonder why the pundits have never really held Arteta (thunderbird twat) to account for sending his team out to knobble him.. that challenge in first few mins was deliberate and that's what did Rodri really. If it was us, we would have been publicly slated, hung drawn and quartered. We need to be more vocal.. i didn't hear us on the radio once talking about the deliberate tactic...to one of the few Ballon d'or winners to play in the country. Meeeeja just smirked!

Its this sort of thing when it's child like bias makes them unbearable.. that chance first half..they went on and on..im sure he was offside mind...no mention of that though!

Totally agree. Guehi's not bad but I can't see him replacing anything we've already got, but I've never understood the fuss over Wharton.
I was quite impressed with Guehi and how he coped with Haaland's physicality....he did better than a lot of centre halves that come up against Erling.

I think he would defintely fight for a place in our back line with both Gvardiol and Dias.....

Didnt see much evidence of what he is like with the ball at his feet though..how good a passer is he etc?

what are you talking about, read that back to yourself ffs, would you not like kovacic and rodri back to bolster the midfield
Doesn't matter whether I would like them back or not, I can't do anything about it so I'm not going to whinge about it and I'm bored of other people whinging about it. I watch the game because I enjoy it and I like to enjoy a fucking good win, NOT go home and moan about how bad he was or who the manager should have played or how unlucky they were because they missed 5 chances, or how we need other midfielders back or whatever. WE WON! GET OVER IT!

I've seen him a few times and I don't think he's that quick, either that or doesn't always read the game well, but otherwise a solid defender. Always hard to know for sure when they're playing for a different team.

Deary me.

I think he is def worth a look at ...that duel with Haaland in the first half alone says he at least has the physicality in him.....however so much more to consider....

He will prob go tot he Dips anyway..they have clearly been tapping him up for a while but we are going to need to go into the market in the summer as we will prob lose both Stones and Ake as neither are available regularly and It wouldnt be a surprise if the heirachy said to both players to find new clubs....great servants but their time is done.

We can be put under pressure by anyone but "second best" is hyperbole. If you watch back these two games we were the dominant side in both. We are slowly becoming a pretty good team again, we are just screaming out for someone capable of helping Nico in the middle
