No single player in particular stood out.

The goal by Aguero was, however sublime. This is one of his last appearances in our side - so a sentimental MoTM vote for me.

As an aside, the US commentary about Aguero's goal had the color announcer stating that Aguero's first touch wasn't great...

Do you agree?

The cross was fizzed - and yet Aguero made contact, taking all momentum away from the ball. Yes it subsequently bounced upwards in front of him...

IMO Aguero's first touch was awesome - given that it's a fizzed ball across the middle.

His first touch enabled an immediate second strike which he executed to perfection.

My thoughts upon the color man criticizing Aguero's first touch - WTF!?!?
Color man? Color announcer?

Color man? Color announcer?
In the states, our language differs. Color man is fine - color announcer fits too.

Across the pond (for me, in the UK), you'd at least spell "color" as "colour." And the closing parenthesis in my last sentence would have been before the period.

At any rate - language has interestingly diverved between our two cultures.

Oh then please accept my apologies as I thought it wasn’t fine.

had to look that up:

What is the difference between play-by-play and color commentator?

Play-by-play announcers are the primary speakers, valued for their articulateness and ability to describe the events of an often fast-moving contest. Color commentators are valued for experience and insight into the game, and are often asked questions by the play-by-play announcer to give them a topic for analysis.

Wouldn't it be better just to say: "A couple of dickheads talking bollox"
