Not able to impose himself physically for that position. And God knows I've defended the man. But no, not there. You might say, well, Gundo, neither. And I'd agree with you.
Nunes can be much more useful out on the wing on in attacking midfield.

It's a long shot, but you know, something I've been thinking about for some time — Kev playing further back, in defensive midfield. He's such a superb reader of the game, it might be worth a punt. Over time, he's got to start playing deeper, anyway. The lung-busting attacking midfielder games over ninety minutes, those are finished. Pep's very good at reinventing players. This might be his latest.
Kdb is only 75 percent of the player he was prior to injury’s but we would be really fucked as he still plays passes no one else can in the final third. The one that is dissapointing is Foden, showing nothing but sure he will come good

Survival is the word pep used in his press conference.

Many of these players won’t survive.

He knows we have a real fight on our hands for top4. Reminds me of when we were compete with spurs for top 4. This season is going to be brutal unless we buy new players on Jan and they somehow make an immediate impact. Lots of ifs.

Set pieces today were poor. The marking was non existent.

Anyway, we all know the faults.

Survival and it’s live… -:)

Wonder what Makem is doing these days? Or Samaras or dabo or dunne.
Praps one of them is in Sunnerlund ??

We need more strength in midfield for starters we had 3 midgets in there today who seemed to get knocked ball to easy, most teams just push us over.

He does, but I want Kev to be playing with us two, even three years from now. I don't believe he'll do that in his current position. I always felt that Merlin left earlier than he needed to have done. These men, David Silva, Kevin de Bruyne, are utterly exceptional in their ability to see a game.To x-ray it. We've had not one, but two. I want the resources of the second one to be looked after wisely. And yes — it is Phil who needs to be developing into the kind of player who plays those passes further up the pitch. While Kev plays them from further back, and furthermore starts to play a defensive role he hasn't played before. Alongside Rod, of course.
Of course, with no Kev upfield and on the edge of the box, no curving pass in behind the Villa defence, no Gundogan. No title. But now I think we've come to a turning point. It needs to be someone else. Kev can't be doing those lung-busting runs from the haflway life, or even deep in our half, to the edge of the opposition box. That much was clear against Forest the other night, when he ended up feeling like a lie-down right there on the grass.
Just my idea…
It won't happen, but I'd deeply have liked it to be tried.
