Crystal Palace (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

They can’t look at yellow cards can they?. Should be able to, but don’t think they can.
They could have if VAR had said “Hey, we think you might have got that wrong, as we think it’s a penalty, not a foul by Lewis.”

But, in the PGMOL Old Boys Club, it’s hard to say, “Mate, you’ve given him a yellow for a challenge you clearly and obviously didn’t see, because Lewis is the one that gets stood on, not the Palace player. However, it might then lead one to conclude you’ve further bolloxed it up by giving a foul to Palace instead of a penalty to City, so let’s say nowt and move on, shall we? After all, changing this decision and giving a penalty will create bedlam if City win 3-2 in the last few minutes with a VAR overturn! We wouldn’t want Baldy highlighting us on Sky with that midget Owen!”…especially when you’re miked up!!

Why was the decisicon by VAR not a penalty and take back the yellow card? Am i wrong?
Such rules are only applicable for Liverpool and United! For City, even if someone get murdered in the box, he would get a red card!

Pep said correctly that it was a red because it was Rico. He was honest and didn't fall over like a snowflake. Got red carded for his troubles.

Considering we might be without Ake Akanji and Stones we would be better if Lewis was available..
Definitely glad that Ruben is back though
Agree that couldn’t care less if Rico is available for the Derby or not, the downside now is that Walker is 100% nailed on to play against a team who’s main weapon is the counter attack.

Don''t understand why Jack was dropped for Saturday.
He was superb on Wednesday.
Was he injured to a suffiivint degree not to start? Or did Pep have a brain fart?
