Poor passing from Mendy

I think we’ll always get a few sloppy passes from him. He was solid though and gives us good width going forward - plays some good passes zipped in between the lines too.

I think he played really well against a few decent wingers and hopefully it’s the start of a run in the side as we looked much more balanced with two natural full backs out there.

Good win but should have been by more. Gab was very good aside from not squaring to KDB for the tap in and then gifting them the ball on the edge of our box, the next move led to their corner and Ederson's great save.
Gundogan, despite the usual suspects decrying him in the pre-match thread, was very good aside from (again) gifting the ball away on the edge of our box forcing another great save from Ederson (spot the theme here)
Ederson was great, Bernado looked sharper, Rodri and Ferny did well in their roles. Cancelo impressed as well.
Need to stop wasting so many gilt edged chances and need to stop gifting the ball away in our half with Fifa 20/Youtube showreel type flicks.
Controlled so much of that match yet could have been hanging on at the end had it not been for Ederson.
It's good to win at a place where other teams may well struggle, Liverpool go there in a few weeks time and CP will make it tough for them

If they sit back like they did against us in the first half, Liverpool will destroy them. Very strange tactics from them given our defence today.

Did lots of good things but agree he did give the ball away needlessly at times. But he needs a run of games to get himself fit.

Comfortable as can be as Palace decided to defend and defend. Merlin motm cool as fuck, most players playing well especially in the first half. Should've and could've been five or six though, really wasteful by Sterling in particular, needs to improve more on his finishing. Come on you rag bastards tomorrow.
