Dominated possession - wonder what the stats were upto the few minutes spell by palace just around when Benteke came on?

Rodri and ferna were great. (good to see stones come back on however). Sterling besides his misses was excellent as was GJ - his energy and defending from the front was excellent and he was unlucky not to get a second (good save by the palace keeper) - though KDB wont be pleased with him for not squaring it!

both Silvas exceelent as well as was KDB (though clearly not got his match fitness yet)

Overall good performance - not hitting the heights we were last season but with the injuries we have thats not surprising

Played well, won, clean sheet (just), missed too many chances as usual.

Well done lads. Should have been more comfortable but fair does to Hennessey for some great saves. Keeping it to two allowed Eddie to show his class with some great saves.

Well done Pep - your team choice and tactics worked well. I think that win will really lift the squad and hopefully be the start of a good run.

An excellent but at times frustrating performance. We just have to start finishing all these chances. It is incredible to think but for two brilliant saves by Eddie we could have dropped two points, all down to sloppy passing under no pressure. That would have been unforgivable. On the whole though much better.

It turns out a team consisting entirely of midfielders *can* win a PL match.

Good win. I thought the defence did pretty well considering the situation they were in, Ederson really stepped up to the plate. We did miss chances but I have no doubts about us returning to our best once one or two get through a bit of a rough patch. We know how prolific our players can be they will get it right again.

Good job Eddy was on form or it would have been ridiculous to draw that.
Our finishing is still shockingly bad for the amount of ‘sitters’ we create.
Some good movement and there was “the desire” back again.

The devastation in the commentators is evident for all to see.
