Crystal Palace (A) | Post Match Thread

Go into the season without a striker; sell the player we used as a striker in January; make no subs when the ones out there couldn't hit a barn door and then wonder why we've bottled a lead.

Scousers will beat Arsenal now and the way we've played against some shit sides recently (Everton, Spurs, Palace) there's more points to be dropped this season.

If they get the fucking quadruple, I'm ringing Putin and telling him everyone in England thinks he's a gay icon in the hope he nukes us.

Can't take any positives from tonight, Palace are shit but they've took 4 points of us this season, too much tippy tappy around the box, not direct or aggressive enough around the box.
Pep you've whinged all season about how many subs can be used due to burn out, and tonight you make none, shit on your behalf tonight.
Our lack of a natural striker will bite us on the arse and hand them scouse murdering rats the tittle.

We can buy Haaland and buy Kane as well but that’s not the only issue. The biggest issue we have is that we have no pace in the side. Never replaced Leroy. We have no pace to get at sides in midfield or on the wings. Until we get real pace into this side we will struggle to breakdown teams.
The standard is very low this year. If we manage to win it without pace and a striker i'll be very pleased.

Best chances came from shooting on sight, centrally outside the area (who knew?!). A few milliseconds difference for Bernardo and he could have had a hattrick, but overall a difficult game against a very resolute side. Disappointed with Walker's lack of crossing ability, but this was one game where we lacked a focal point i.e. a striker.

3 points out of a possible 18 vs Spurs, Southampton and Palace. That’s three teams we couldn’t beat over two games. Couldn’t even score against one of them. These three teams could cost us the title. Incredibly frustrating.
And Southampton up next in the cup.

Another terrible away performance on the back of luckily beating the worst Everton team in living history.

Mahrez was terrible and looked like he couldn't be arsed. Grealish bright but felt as if Bernardo just kept getting in his way.

We lack efficiency and tempo at times. The constant slow passing backwards was infuriating.
Mahrez was far more dangerously than Grealish.

We were pathetic in the final third, Again.
Not a single cross or cut back went to a white shirt and so many overhit passes,
Only Kev looked like he cared, FFS was okay but the rest were awful

Lack of goals will cost us, we have been stumbling through games since Xmas but we have been sussed out with this false 9.

Fortunate to win at Arsenal thanks to a penalty to get us back, couldnt break Brentford down till a penalty, took a major cock up to score at a poor form Everton, lost to Spurs due to shit finishing with 4 on target from 21 attempts, dropped points at Southampton due to crap finishing Where like tonight only a few weak efforts on target ( 5 on target from 20 shots) and tonight only 4 on target from 18 shots.

There is just no killer instinct in this team and a lavk of composure in front of goal.

Title is Dippers to lose, we will drop more points but when they dont play well they still s ore 2 plus goals due to their front 3 and strength in depth plus they actually score from set pieces.

Hopefully 2 proper strikers in the summer and a refresh

Sideways all night, foden wasted, how the holy fuck pep didn’t even swap him around beggars belief, no subs is mind blowing

Not good but not the end of the world, that could be a very important point at the end of season as Liverpool may have a better goal average by then
