Crystal Palace (A) | Post Match Thread

I thought that was a disgrace.

Bernardo, Cancelo, Laporte, Mahrez and Foden all abysmal.

Bernardo missing those two sitters was disgraceful and will probably cost us the title.

All momentum with the fucking bin dippers now
Why do you use the adjective “fucking” and a disparaging invective to describe the team you support?

I thought it was grimly amusing when whilst willing Palace on the Sky commentator pointed out that Vieira has never lost v City “including when playing for Arsenal”!!

Grealish made multiple, clear cut chances that Bernie and Mahrez squandered. Both have enough credit in the bank for me, and have won more points for us than they've lost, so whatever, it happens, but not sure what more you want a player we signed to create chances to do. He did his job for us tonight.

100mil for a player that just exists.

not one single defining moment in a whole season for a team as good as ours!

the likes of foden and Bernardo were poor today but they have big moments and match winning performances throughout the season.

grealish literally doesn’t have one and he’s played in our front 3 all season - even origi has a last minute winner. Diaz has done more in a month. These are the standards we need to compare ourselves against because us and the scousers are so far ahead of everyone else.
I'll have you know he's had a goal Involvement in 4 prem games this season alone! And 3 of them was on purpose.

Probably get pelters for this, and it's probably not the appropriate time, thread, or comment to make right now, but seeing what's been happening in Ukraine over the last 2 weeks puts a draw away at Palace, and a game of football into perspective. We all desperately wanted City to win tonight, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. City/we go again away to Burnley in 2 Weeks time. Sadly by then 100's, maybe 1000's of people will die in the Ukraine.

about 3 million children under the age of 5 die from starvation every year in Africa but I still get pissed off when we lose mate

Liverpool play twice before we next play (in the league). They’ll be top of the league as we’re walking out at Burnley.

I'm glad I gave the match thread a miss.

Disappointing result, but aside from the poor finishing though, City weren't "shite" at all for me. Bernardo, Cancelo and Rodri have had better games but they weren't shit either. As for Foden, the space just wasn't there for him, lets not scapegoat.

The fact is, City outplayed them, created plenty of chances, hit the woodwork twice, Mahrez, Bernardo, Laporte should have all scored. It just wouldn't go in.

As usual, the flappers will overreact but Liverpool will most likely drop points too before we play them. They've been riding their luck already recently but getting away with it. What they do have is out and out goalscorers upfront to bail them out but even they can have off games, where that doesn't happen.

Fed up with the result, but I actually don’t think it makes a difference in the long run. We thought before this game the dippers game was going to be critical and nothing has changed.

Disgraceful?
Give your head a wobble mate
Just because we didn’t win it doesn’t mean we were poor and didn’t try…
Don’t suppose you remember the 40 years before the takeover do you.

It's all on the players today. If you don't take chances, you don't deserve the points. Unfortunately you can't have off days at this point in the season. They've let this negativity get to them a little and the drop in momentum shows. On this form they don't deserve the title. When the pressure ramps up, you have to respond. They can't afford any more stupid fucking slip ups. Respond now or the title will slip away, your choice blues.

No we didn’t, it was 6. At the time they had played two games less.
No we had a 14 point gap when they were on 20 games played and we were on 22. If they’d won both games in hand it took them to 48 which is an 8 point league which once again is huge

A point gained at a difficult place to go and we're still top of the league. Yes, we should have won, but the league is still in our hands. If Liverpool win their next two games we swap roles and we'll end up behind them by 2 points, with them having played a game more. They'll then find out what it's like to be in that position with the pressure on.

There's a long way to go and I expect a few twists along the way. But there's no reason to panic over this. Clearly I still hope Arsenal do us a favour on Wednesday night though...
