It's not by design though. Missed out on Cucurella, Gomez isnt up to scratch and Cancelo fucked off mid season

Tbh, we dodged a bullet with Cucurella. Gomez isn’t up to scratch yet - he may well come good, and I think most people agree that Cancelo is a wonderful footballer but a pretty poor defender. I honesty hope he doesn’t come back. Personally, I think Ake has been doing a brilliant job at left back. Imo he’s been one of our best players this season.

You may be right but we can’t afford any more dropped points. Todger out or not he should play him. Stones may well have a good game but first game back playing there has potential to go wrong.

I guess it boils down to standards,and Pep clearly has a higher level than you.

Playing him would send out the wrong message etntirely.

Im actually surprised he is in the squad.
