Crystal Palace (H) Post Match Thread

The holes in our squad are showing. We have Walker who has been stinking the place out for months but plays every game cos Danilo is a sick note. We have attacking midfielders playing left back cos we only have one left back who is injured again. We have Stones filling in at DM cos we were fucking idiots and did not strengthen this vital position in the summer and then we have Gundogan and Bernardo in midfield who aren't as effective as Silva and Kev. I will say what I have been thinking for a while and that is the £70 million we spent on Mahrez should have gone elsewhere in the squad. Now we have everyone scrutinising out spending so we probably won't be able to address this in January either. So we have to hope we get no more injuries for the second half of the season otherwise this is what happens.

Yeah mate, but most of us don't post hysterical shit that makes matters worse.
Oh well, I should know better than to go in the matchday forum and I should know better than taking the big girl off ignore in the first place. ; )
I couldn`t make today,must have had a premonition.
Shit happens now and again ... but we now need to win these next three games and we will have all forgotten about todays result.

Absolutely shit result, especially considering how fucking gash the opposition are. Unacceptable.

Forget this utter debacle, enjoy Christmas then go on a long unbeaten run, including smashing the scouse bastards on 3rd January.

Needless to say I for one will be avoiding all football media until we play again.

Merry Christmas everyone. Except Palace, they can fuck off. I hope theirs is as shit as they made me feel today.

Look for the positive's, Kev is back and as he gets his fitness back he will continue to improve. Silva is nearing a return as well and we all know what he brings to the team.
If Danilo comes back as well we can then rest Walker.

We've been "muddling" through for a while now. The injuries to our key players are starting to show. In a way it's good that we are still up there
If the dippers had a injured key player like KDB is to us they would be languishing in third.

Bad bad day but there’s a long way to go, hard to see Liverpool dropping points at the moment but you’d have said same about us before Chelsea game
It’s going to the wire so don’t get to down blues

stopped counting at thirty crosses into their penalty box in the 2nd half , just no quality and hit and hope , Palace first to the ball every time , until KDB came on and we looked a threat , Jesus and Kun really never got a sniff apart from a late Jesus header. Expect a lot better with the quality we have , a wonder goal and an idiotic challenge by Walker has cost us the game , always defended Walker but he is costing us goals and giving the opposition chances , he needs to step up his game.
Cant remember Ederson having to make a save in 90 minutes , three shots / three goals is quite prolific from a side that previously couldnt score in a brothel , well done to Palace never seen such a committed performance from them , and that 30 yarder from Townsend will go viral in Dipperland

Concerned when I saw the team selection but did not expect the end result. Midfield is where we always dominate and today the set up was not right.
Anyway onwards and upwards. Still think we can win all four trophies.

We have to give up on one or two cups . Our players are burnt out . Haven’t had a proper rest with World Cup during off season and all the injuries piling on .

Walker cost us two goals but we were nowhere near good enough today. Very poor performance.

No he didn’t. Gave a pen away true, but you can’t attribute any of the other two to Walker. The first was because Laporte was beaten on our left and it came right across vis 3 passes without a challenge from any midfielder or defender. Schlupps shot should have been save, poor positioning by Eddie.

We are 100 percent not beating Liverpool and anyone who thinks we will roll them over is living in a fantasy world.

There is no 100% in football. Our best players were either injured (Silva, Dinho) or coming back from injury (KDB, Sergio). They had 2 great goals and a gift from Walker, which gave them the belief to hold on. We won't roll Liverpool over, but a win is the last hope we have for getting back on title race. So let's be positive until then.
