A mistake a wonder goal a penalty and very good defending by palace. Think Pep trying to manage the team in this buzy peroid but with walker who needs a rest and Delph who isnt a left back it will eventually bite you on your butt.

Still a long way to go lets just win our next game and move in from this game.

Bit of a freak result really although we wernt at our best. Fair play to Townsend he was excellent & the goal was unbelievable.

Also congrats to the Liverpool fans for winning the league in December.

It's never a freak result when you concede 3 goals to a midtable team at home. This result has been coming ever since we collectively decided that defending is optional. We can't seem to keep a clean sheet lately and eventually that bites you.

I love Mahrez but he doesn’t seem to be a top player. I really thought once he was around other top players he would shine and become one of the worlds best but it looks like we were the only team interested in him for a reason. Will still give him time for it to turn around for him but let’s see.

Yeah, we can always rely on pointing to Gundo and Mahrez to explain our bad days ...

Defence has gone to shit - most notably walker who’s been awful for the majority of the season now.

Failing to keep a clean sheet in 8 games is shocking. We’ve not particularly attacked very well since the derby but the defending is particularly worrying.

Injuries aren’t helping but intensity has to remain high over the Christmas period and for whatever reason ours has dropped. Shows how hard it is to retain a title.

Not really bothered. It's only December and the table could look completely different in 3 or 4 games time. We got beat and we have to suck it up simple as that. We'll get back on track, if anything this result will increase the jubilation on Merseyside and they definitely will think they got the league in the bag. Bad day at the office.

Stones and Laporte were really looking the part, and should be our centre back pairing if fit. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Disappointed with the starting line up today and our form has definitely dipped recently.

Yep its like Pep is managing the team on playing time with it being long season and playing around 60 games but you got to stick to the best partnership till there is an injury or suspension! Klopp will play vvd in every game unless injured we change the team an awful lot every game.

I think Stones slowing us down from the start was a big problem in getting going. Two or three times he could have played the ball forward to Jesus and chose to pass backwards to Laporte or sideways to Gundo. It set the pace and we just never really got going.

You're right about the winning streak, we need to get some pressure back on to Liverpool and see how well they handle it when the Champs League kicks off again.

Thought we were rubbish today. Getting defensive players to push up and provide distribution to front 3 just congested the game into the final third so gundog & bernie hadnt got a clue what their roles were. Walker ??? for me is a show pony, should stay out the weights room and put more effort into learning how to defend. And what does Foden have to do to get a PL start ? Pep you didnt have a good game pal..
