Brilliant from Stones again, and Dias. Gundogan was great too, kept everything ticking over, and Kev as usual. Excellent free kick from Sterling, I’m glad he got one after his penalty last game, hopefully do his confidence good that.

Pretty much perfect result for us. We get to rest KdB and Gundo for a bit, Raheem scores to help his confidence, Stones plays brilliantly and some of our Covid returnees get some game time.

Commanding performance....
Surprised by Hodgson going so defenesive and negative (maybe due to the Zaha injury?) but we utterly dominated them....dont recall Ederson having a shot to save.
Sterling smashing one into the top corner from 20 yds yet cant put one in from 12 yds.
Stones hasnt scored a prem goal in 2-3 seasons suddenly gets 2!
Pep a manager who rarely makes subs when people are crying out for them suddenly with 20 mins to go takes his two main midfielders off and brings o na fullback and a winger in their place! (Pep clearly is looking at cancello playing midfield more if needed)
Solid solid performance.
Villa will be a bit more of a test but having watched the dire shit that Liverpool and utd served up we deserve to be top by midweek
