Crystal Palace (h) post-match thread

Has pep played a belter here?
Started the season off slow but that was the plan and then push on with our pressing and fitness while everyone else struggles with the pace towards the end

The only slight negative for me is that we didn’t really break their bus — I believe all 4 goals were from dead ball situations. Those goals still count and it’s a major way for us to defeat these tactics but on our poor days those chances go begging and we complain that we didn’t create enough. It’s a nitpick and I’m really happy to see us playing well and with confidence but I think we are going to continue to see these dreadful tactics until we show we can carve it open

Loving the goals against column.
Dias has made a huge difference. A total beast.
Stones has been kidnapped and had a brain transplant with a football brain.
Stones has a steady no nonsense defender beside him and it has given him the platform to perform. Dias has turned our fortunes around.

forget being a good proformas keep them for finals and big games ? city are ticking over nicely and picking up the points that win titles. but will say today all the goals was outstanding and stones was miles ahead for MOTM choice and not just for the goals he scored but his whole game and jack the lad has become a man

only skysports pundits keane and souness can find faults ? but maybe they should pick out the shit in the game before and not in the city game because we won ?? also big shout for gundogan and when he plays in the forward midfield role then he looks 10 times the player then in the holding role

8/10
Agree about Gundo. He looks good playing further forward, but it only works when Fern plays the defensive role. He is the link from defence to attack that Rodri is too slow at so far.

Rodri and Gundo rarely works.

Always had one in my opinion. In Pep's first season [and beyond] he was always in his ear on the sideline. As far as I'm aware, it was injuries and a troubled personal life that stalled his career at City.

The scums arses will be twitching big time now that we are on their coat tails, hopefully their nerves will trigger a big loss of form, whilst we go from strength to strength.
