Crystal Palace (H) - Post-Match Thread

If the squad is fully fit, what does our best front attack look like? At this point does Torres just slot right into the center and we hope for some type of actual goal scoring production? Can't see Jesus or Foden being kept out with their current form, so eventually we will have Grealish on the bench?

People here overreact so much. We are 5 points below chelsea(2 if we beat them). Chelsea are struggling to score the opening goal, and they have some tough matches in the next weeks.

Today it was a poor performance by everyone except Rodri and Dias. Dias just has a winners mentality, and I hope the longer he stays with us, the more his mentality is spread on other players.
We won before Dias. Its not about mentality, its about form and i think a bit of coaching.

Grealish just isnt damaging from the left and his presence there means our best left forward (foden) is being marginalized In a position he is working hard in but isnt a world class player in.

i honestly thought grealish would be deployed as the left mid.

Our old teams worked because we had a balance of creators (De Bruyne, Silva, Bernardo, Gundogan) and runners (Sterling, Sané, Agüero). Now we have a load of creators, making chances for forwards who don't exist.

Poor Foden is doing the best we could really ask of him to fill the void but the guy hasn't had anywhere near long enough to prepare for that job.

I think we look tired. There‘s been a lot of games over the last few weeks and not many of our regular 11 have had a break. That said, we were awful today and tiredness doesn’t explain all of that performance....

Pep a little bit predictable with his set up and changes (and the timing of them), out thought tactically by a potential successor ?

Next week is now huge.....massive even. Two big games and two big wins expected !!

Creative is something we lacked today. Forward or no forward, there were, at best, hopeful balls into the box a few times.

Laporte sending off was crucial. I think we’d have won the game or certainly got a point out of it otherwise. Rodri was immense today. One to forget we go again next week.
