expecting the usual amounts of possession and wasted chances. we'll win this one tho and go on to win all remaining games.
willy
zab stones komp clichy
fern yaya
sterling silva sane
aguero
i'd go back to that and stop messing about every week with different formations. 3-1

No reason now to tinker with the team. We'll be rested. I'd prefer Delph over Yaya if KDB and Silva are available. Delph can score goals, also better defensively than Yaya

Yes that would be the Yaya who has never scored an important goal for City before and oh can't defend but has played CB in a European final.
Some think he is finished but still was easily our best player against Arsenal oh and he is good at set pieces too. Sure replace him with Delph he's super fit!
That Yaya fella is always injured anyway!

Gone quiet on Aguero injury. Half expecting some bad news on that front. But at least Jesus is back now.

No argument from me about his value to City in the past. I don't think he's good enough now. Operates too deep to add much to the team. And when he does play, it's good possession but safe harmless possession. The old Yaya would accelerate and barge defenders out of the way. The current one sets the metronome but doesn't frighten anyone.

do the players turn up at the main entrance when arriving? Taking my boy to his 1st game and would love him to see the players turning up. If so, any ideas what time? Any tips on making the day special for a little lad? Big change for me, normally beers in Mary d's before the game, now fruit shoots and hot dogs at city square.

Kolarov won't be able to contribute much going forward if he's marking Zaha as he's going to have to stay 10 yards goalside of him to address the difference in pace. Clichy is unfortunately the better bet, just at full back with a winger ahead of him this time.

Just my opinion but Clichy and the word "pace" should only be used in the past tense.

Who has the script for the match or who has seen it? Are we denied a blatant penalty? Do we have all the possession as usual? Are the players kicked all over the pitch? Potential red card not given to a Palace player? Jesus scoring last minute and disallowed for offside?

Let me know. Please and thank you.

In comparison to our other fullbacks, Gael's problems have very little to do with pace. The guy suffers from lack of self-belief. Totally insecure out there, loses concentration easily etc. The reasons behind his bad positioning, his vulnerability on 1 vs 1 situations, the wrong timing in his moves and reactions etc, stuff which have cost us goals. A state of mind influencing his decision making defensively as well as offensively. Very rarely, for example, he will trust himself to go for a relatively demanding pass, usually he will avoid the responsibility giving the ball to a teammate 5-10-15m away...

He is the same player who operated as a genius in that Cup match at Swansea, reading excellently that play, coming from behind, moving diagonally, getting involved in a wonderful combination, finally scoring. The same player who took the responsibility to take that shot with his right foot from a difficult angle and score in a complicated match vs Burnley at home. Unfortunately, his only two great moments in an overall below average performance this season...

Team Usually arrive 90 mins before kick off but very hard to get close, barriers keep fans well back if your not there well before that 90 minutes. If your seat is in Colin bell stand you could enter spiral staircase V W to the left of main entrance and look down on coach arriving and players walking in.

Hopefully Vinny is fit again for this one and be able to take care of Benteke. Wont be easy against a well organized and determined Palace team. I reckon we'll win narrowly 2-1

Big game for us this, especially after getting people's backs up with the ST price increases. I can see this getting a bit nasty if we go behind or don't score and we've tripped up in these games all season. Need to attack them right from the start, get an early goal or at least get the crowd up.

They are rubbish! But, like most in this division, can be well organised and are a threat(at times) - if the players are focused and do their jobs properly, we will win comfortably.

Doesn't get much better than taking your son to his first game, I just hope the team produces something memorable for him!

I still remember my first game, in 1972 (aged 5), when we beat Wolves 5-2 and Franny Lee got a hat-trick [full disclosure: I just looked it up, but I only remember him scoring 2 :-)]. I also remember taking my son to his first game, which was Tevez's debut, against Celtic (pre-season). We were very close to the Celtic end/corner and he learned a few new words from the "spirited interaction" between the two sets of fans!

I can only see us losing. There's no way we dominate the game, Gabriel Jesus scores a hat-trick, and we stroll to an easy victory against a team that's basically done for the year. Not a chance.
Jesus won't play. Clichy will be spearheading an attacking triumvate of clichy, navas and fernando.
