Let’s see if Pep has learned anything from last season against Crystal Palace..
30/10/21 H Manchester City 0 Crystal Palace 2
12/03/22 A Crystal Palace 0 Manchester City 0
Let’s hope that he has.
No inverted fullbacks or false nines……..just fucking beat them please.

I hope it was just a stinker for Walker but as I said earlier all season he's just looked off to me. A bit mentally and physically? I do fear time and minutes on his legs are finally catching up to him tbh. Palace looked great vs Villa which makes this midweek friendly in another country even more silly(Yes, I know it's for a good cause). Not even going to try and guess the lineup.
Never got this love in for Walker, he'd have made a decent athlete but footballer, no.

Maybe it`s for a good cause but the timing of it is insane.

Expect a reaction after the Newcastle game.

Well I hope so! as my kids are going to their first game on Saturday!!
My boy is too! You booked your in for the kids fanzone before?

Kyle needs to play RB Sat with Zaha, lets hope Pep learns from Barcode, good LW needs a RB not DM/midfield being pulled out of position
He could have switched walker to play a more conventional role yesterday when it was clear that saint-maximin was getting too much space, however, he didn't. Not sure if anything will be different against palace.

yeah the system yesterday first half just didnt work and it created mayhem for us yesterday! Pep needs to fuck it off and stick to what we do well.

I think we will go for more control in the wide areas to stop the potential counters.

Ederson

Walker
Dias
Stones
Cancelo

Rodri
Gundogan
Kdb

Mahrez
Halland
Grealish/bernie

1st Imagination. Having double block on the right with Walker RCB - Cancelo RB combo, to prevent any kind of threat coming from Zaha and following full back + dobule pivot , for easier ball control , aerials duels winning and basically having more "bodies" and "legs" in the middle, something we missing badly yesterday. Rodri was daying at the moments.
Not nesesserly with Phillips , Bernardo should do similiar. With Grealish coming back from injury , Foden time for bench, right time to try Haaland and Alvarez together and see how opponents defence going to cope with them..

And more realistic one with proper tactics I hope. Gundo si bigger goal threat than Bernardo, but Bernardo in this kind games is must have thing. Rodri cant to everything on his own. KDB and Gundogan are far away from him ,for the most time in the game. Really hope for Bernardo CM mins... Also on the left idk with is the more clever idea.. having selfish Foden or post injury Grealish. Pep have to figure things out. .. hope that new St Maximin doest coming again...
